The power of the Resurrection Day and how it plays in our lives.

He is not here, but has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee That the Son of Man must be given over into the hands of sinful men (men whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God) and be crucified and on the third day rise [from death]. Luke 24:6-7 (AMPC)

Resurrection – the action or fact of restoring a dead person to life, or of being restored to life.

If it weren’t for the resurrection, we couldn’t live the victorious life God meant for us. Without it, we would remain spiritually dead. But through Jesus’ resurrection, we are alive in Him when we receive Him. Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.

On the cross, Jesus gave His life as a spotless lamb. This was the final sacrifice needed for a blood spill, providing restoration with God as His children.

While Jesus was on the cross, every sin, sickness, and desire came upon His battered body. This caused Him to be more marred than any man. Looking at Him, you saw every curse of earth laid on Him, so He was disfigured. Isaiah 52:14 just as many were astonished and appalled at you, My people, So His appearance was marred more than any man
And His form [marred] more than the sons of men.

He was laid in a grave. On the third day, the stone was rolled away. Hell and the grave were conquered. He has the keys to life and death. Revelation 1:18 says and the Ever-living One [living in and beyond all time and space]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of [absolute control and victory over] death and of Hades (the realm of the dead).

Jesus now sits at the right hand of God. He is the perfection of our sins, our advocate, and is interceding for us. He is also the founder and perfecter of our faith.

When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we sit with Him as victorious warriors. Ephesians 2:6 says And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus,

We celebrate Resurrection Sunday to remember what He did for us, redeeming us from the world’s curse and making us victorious warriors with Him. He has done His part. Now it’s up to us to walk in the revelation written in His word and live out the victory given to us in every area of our lives.

Take time to thank Him from deep within your heart for what He has done for you. Commit yourself to living out this victory daily, and ask the Holy Spirit to actively guide you into the victorious life you are called to live. Let today mark a renewed dedication to walk boldly in His purpose for you.

Enjoy this coming Resurrection Day and allow the Lord to touch your heart like never before.
