Your Purpose

Your Prophetic Word

Have you ever received a prophetic word?

This afternoon, I was cleaning my office closet and came across some papers with notes and prophetic words. They are prophetic words of highlights spoken over me from 1988 until 2017.

With the papers in my hands, I sat in my office chair to read those prophetic words.

If you have ever received any prophetic words, where are they? Are they where you can reach them quickly? When is the last time you have looked at them?

While I was reading those prophetic words, my heart was encouraged. And my soul was refreshed. Reaching toward my computer, I turned it on. To type those prophetic words out, as it’s written in handwriting.

Reflecting

I took the time to reflect while typing — asking the Holy Spirit if my life was lining up with those prophetic words. He brought attention to some things I needed to adjust to my life. To line up with what the Lord has been leading.

Some of the words even brought encouragement to keep moving forward in walking out what He has placed in my heart to fulfill.

Do you feel refreshed when you read the prophetic words you have received or reflect on the things the Lord has spoken to your heart? Do you get the encouragement to keep moving forward into the things the Lord has for you?

If you haven’t looked upon your prophetic words of late or taken the time to reflect on what the Lord has spoken to your heart, I encourage you to do so.

As you reflect on the things the Lord has spoken to you. Take the time to pray. Ask Him where adjustment is needed in your life. To line up to where He wants you.

If you haven’t ever received prophetic words, I know He has been talking to your heart — Reflect in prayer on those words.

His Word is Prophetic writings.

His written word is prophetic words for us. Reading His word is reading His prophetic words.

Take the time to reflect on His word in prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart, for they are prophetic words to be spoken to your heart.

You are a prophetic word that has come forth. God prophesied of your coming when He made man in the Garden. A podcast is playing through my car speakers as I drive through town. Teaching from one of my spiritual fathers is pouring through the speakers. My ears are filled with teachings of faith feeding my spirit.

I read that highly successful individuals use their commute to listen to motivational teachings or audiobooks. They are also known as Audio University.

We believers can grow and mature in the Lord daily through listening to the teachings of God’s Word along with our time of reading His word.

We can grow so much if we only listen to teaching at Church once or twice a week. If successful, individuals are disciplined to listen to something that brings growth in their lives daily.

How much more can we do the same? How much more can we grow if we listen to faith teachings daily? We can develop and mature faster and more thoroughly. Even more so when we are doers of the word, living it daily.

Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and who keep the things which are written in it [heeding them and taking them to heart]; for the time [of fulfillment] is near. (Revelation 1:3 AMP)
