For the lovers of God may suffer adversity and stumble seven times, but they will continue to rise over and over again.
Proverbs 24:16 (TPT)

Resilient – able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions

Resilience is not the absence of hardship, but the presence of unwavering trust in the One who holds us steady through every storm.

Though she may stumble due to circumstances, she always bounces back because she is resilient. Why is she resilient? It’s because she puts her trust in the words of her heavenly Father and rests in the promises found in His Word. She has made God’s Word the final authority in her life, guiding her with the hope that she can move forward no matter what challenges she faces.

As a child of God, she knows she has overcome because Jesus triumphed for her and has granted her the victory. So, whenever she gets knocked down, she rises, fully aware that she holds the final say. She can choose to believe what God’s Word says or listen to the lies of her adversary, but she consistently chooses to accept God’s Word as the ultimate truth in her life, undeterred by what she sees or feels.

By believing in and meditating on what God says, she discovers supernatural strength that enables her to be resilient. She learns not to focus on her circumstances, but rather on Him. As her spirit grows resilient and she rises, she boldly declares that God’s grace is stronger than her setbacks and that His strength carries her through any trials.

Trials have a way of testing our faith. They can either break us or strengthen us, anchoring us in God’s love and power. We must keep ourselves saturated in God’s Word so that we can lead a resilient life.

Reflect

Where are the areas in your life where you have been resilient?
What areas do you need to develop a resilient spirit?

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, I choose to rely on you as my source and strength, no matter what I face. You have given me the victory I need, so I choose to rise up and walk as a resilient individual.
