Heading toward the Northwest
Hi, my Friend,
Joe and I left Florida on August 30th, 2025
We headed back to Oregon/Washington to spend time with the kids, grandkids, and rest our bodies.
We have enjoyed and received what we needed at River Church/River University.
In June, I felt that the Lord was telling me August would be our last month in Florida. When we first arrived, we didn’t know how long we’d be staying. Joe had a desire for three years to earn a B.A. in Ministry.
I kept in remembrance of what the Lord first told us in the fall of 2022, to be ready at His beck and call. The Lord led us to Florida to receive what we needed and build some relationships.
It’s been an adventure to be at His beck and call, and it’s bittersweet. It’s wonderful to meet and glean from new friends and ministers, but not easy to leave them, too.
Now we will head back to the Northwest for the winter and see what adventure the Lord will lead us next in Spring.
In the meantime, my mom’s heart is delighted to be with the kids, granddaughter, and a new granddaughter coming in September.
I deleted my…
I deleted my Facebook and Instagram from my phone.
I sensed the Lord speaking to my heart through His whispers to my spirit, and in a dream, He instructed me to limit distractions and focus more on Him. To make more room for Him.
To limit TV watching and replace it with listening to more teachings of the Word of God and more time in worshiping Him, and praying in the spirit.
Also, to live in the moment and not allow time to be robbed from making memories in the moment with people around me.
I still have the accounts and will review them periodically.
I am purging…
I’m organizing my downloads and documents on my phone and computer by cleaning up items that haven’t been used in years, are no longer needed, or are duplicates.
Over the last five years, as the Lord leads us into the next season or step, a moment of purging and cleansing takes place. First, it was in the house when we moved. Next, we underwent a more profound purging, getting rid of everything except our sentimental belongings when we sold our home to move into the fifth wheel. Now, we’re focusing on our electronic devices and limiting our time on social media.
The most profound purging that can be allowed in one’s life is taking a moment to look deeply into one’s heart and allow the Holy Spirit to purify it. This is a daily surrendering that, although painful to the flesh for a moment, is beautiful and freeing on the other side. Let’s keep this in the forefront of our minds and yield ourselves to the purging fire of the Holy Spirit.
