Note to Soul

Lay it on the cross

Lay it on the cross

Darkness hovers over her. Flashes of lighting all around her. The sounds of thunder fill her ears and the earth beneath her shakes.

Her eyes are straining toward the direction of the cross, waiting for another flash of lighting to light up the area, to give her the verification of what she just saw a moment ago.

Another flash of lighting light up the cross and assured her of what she saw to be accurate; she gasps out loud bringing her hands toward her mouth to silence her cry.

Besides her, a Roman soldier, who knows the horror of human torture, was terrified and exclaimed, “Surely He was the son of God.”

The display upon the cross was nothing like any human have seen.  Therefore, no longer was there a form of a man but something more terrifying, beyond what man can comprehend.

Isaiah 52:14 tells us He was marred more than any man, disfigured beyond recognition of human being.

The book of Fox of Martyrs shares stories of individuals whose bodies tortured.  Their bodies went beyond being beaten and hung on the cross.

In other words, what makes Jesus more marred and unrecognizable than any human who has experienced torture?

It’s because of all sin. And every physical and mental sickness and diseases are ever known here on this earth, attached themselves upon Him.

Jesus became sin.  Every emotional pain ever known to human, Jesus felt them.  Jesus felt every mental brokenness that ever manifested upon Himself. All kind of sickness and diseases was upon His body.

I lay it on the cross

Can you imagine every sickness and diseases upon Him and what that looks like to the onlookers?  Can you imagine the insane He went through as all the mental disorders hit Him?

He bore it all for us so that we can live a life free of sickness and diseases.  Above all, He became sin so that we can become righteousness.

Whenever I start feeling a challenge in my body, I close my eyes and picture Jesus on the cross bearing that challenge.  While I am praying, I place that challenge upon His body.

He wants us to place challenges upon Him because He bore it for us. It’s up to us to believe.  Not just trust Him with our head, but with our hearts.

Lay all your challenges at the cross, let Him bear it for you for He has already done so.

The Beauty of His Resurrection.

He went through the torture of being separated from God, so we never have to be separated from God again. But have a beautiful relationship with our heavenly Father.

The torment of hell for three days and three nights – He went through for us, so we never have to taste it ourselves.

The faithfulness of our Heavenly Father reached His arms into hell and retrieved Jesus out while Jesus held on to the keys of Hades and death, setting us free.

His resurrection power – raised from the dead – caused us to be resurrected from the hold of Hades and death.  Redemption is ours. Glory to God!

He is alive

We are alive in Him and have every right to live the life He has set before us to the fullness, beyond what we can imagine.

Celebrate His Resurrection!
