Pursuit of His Heart

I Expose My Heart to You, Lord

I know you, Lord, already know what’s in my heart more than I am aware.

But it blesses you when we come before you, admitting that we are aware of hidden things in our hearts – that desperately needs your purification fire.

So, I chose to come before You, Lord, and purposefully open my heart before You.
Look in the deepest darkest of my heart and expose any hidden thing, bringing forth anything that doesn’t represent You.

I desire your holy fire to penetrate my heart, burning all unholiness, becoming more Holy like Your Holiness.

1 Peter 1:15-16

Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. For Scripture says:

“You are to be holy because I am holy.” – (TPT)

But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves in all your conduct [be set apart from the world by your godly character and moral courage]; 16 because it is written, “You shall be holy (set apart), for I am holy.” – (AMP)

But now, you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. The Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”- (NLT)

Holiness is ownership – when God has full right over our hearts.

Ownership is complete surrender – when we surrender our hearts to God’s hands.

When we choose not to live our lives as our own with our fleshly desires but as His through His purpose of desires – we will live a whole, satisfying life.

Exposing our hearts before the Lord is a daily lifestyle. Choosing to live in Holiness is a heart of daily surrender.

Repenting is a word to be in our daily vocabulary. It sets up the heart for fully surrendering and turning one life into Holiness.

Help me, Holy Spirit, live a life of continually exposing the deepest part of my heart to the purification fire.

May I realize that my life is not mine but bought with the highest price – the shed of innocent blood through Jesus’ love.
