Prayers are only effective if done with speaking God’s Word.
We first have to take the time soaking in His Word, finding what He has to say about the life we are living – how to walk out our story, written by Him, victoriously.
When we find what He said about a situation in our lives in His Word, then we take it boldly to Him and thank Him for His Word that doesn’t return void. We also do a battle within our mind, renewing its thoughts into God’s thoughts. His Word is what we use to remind the devil that he is defeated, and we have the victory as overcomers.
When we spend time in God’s Word the Holy Spirit shows us scripture to use to enforce the victory in an area in our lives, it becomes a powerful weapon for us to stand on.
Another thing we also have to be aware of to make sure our prayer becomes effective is our love walk. It’s through walking in love and keeping our hearts free from offense and unforgiveness that open the door for God’s Word to manifest in our lives.
We also have to be careful with our words throughout the day. Are our words digging up everything we prayed with God’s word? What does that mean? Well, it means that after we have prayed and spoken God’s word regarding the situation, are we saying the opposite later in the day or week, with words coming forth in conversation with others? For example, you pray by His stripes, I am healed, then later on that day, you start complaining and talking about the symptoms you are dealing with. Yes, there are symptoms, but the truth is you are healed.
We must focus more on our words, declaring God’s word’s truth, than on the symptoms’ facts. I like what Jesse Duplantist says, “Faith the Facts.” We faith the facts by continually speaking the truth of God’s promises. We don’t deny the symptoms but don’t give them the final authority. Instead, we give God’s Word the final rule. We could say in response that we are enforcing the victory in that situation.
Take time with Holy Spirit and allow Him to look into your heart to help you purify your heart, receiving His loving correction and profound teaching of God’s Word.
