Your Purpose

How do I know if my dreams are from God

When you regularly spend time with God, He will show you things to come. He will show you things of your future, which produces desires in your heart.

“One word can change your life.” – Kenneth Copeland.

Has there been a time when God spoke to you in your quiet time or through a faith-filled message, and your spirit man got excited? Intense excitement and drawing to a particular word or statement. Have you ever read stories about missionaries, how they listened to another missionary story, and something burst into their spirit? A drawing of mission work conceived into their heart.

What are you drawn to?

What makes you excited?

What are your natural abilities and talents?

There is a direct connection between your potential, passion, and purpose.

God wants the gift in you to bring prosperity into your life. “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16 (AMP)

Some people don’t see that their natural abilities and talents are gifts from God to use for their callings, but they’re there for a purpose, and you must find out what God wants to do with them.

Jerry Savelle gives seven key things to look at to know if your dreams are from God.

  1. If it captures your imagination and inspires and motivates you every day of your life, then it is most likely a dream from God.
  2. If it seems impossible and you are unable to fulfill it on your own, then it is most likely a dream from God.
  3. If it seems as though it will never come to pass, but deep down on the inside you’re unwilling to give up on it, then it is most likely a dream from God.
  4. If not everyone is as enthusiastic about it as you are, then it is most likely a dream from God.
  5. If you have experienced resistance, setbacks, difficulty, and sometimes even frustration over it, then it is most likely a dream from God.
  6. If it seems to consume your thinking and even seems to get bigger and bigger on the inside of you, then it is most likely a dream from God.
  7. If it seems to define and shape your life, then it is most likely a dream from God.

When God gives you a dream to fulfill, it’s conceived inside you, and you have become pregnant with it. So, you need to hold on to it, keep it before you, protect it, speak the Word of God, cultivate it, and prepare for it.
