Halloween or Harvest Party

Do you celebrate anything or do nothing at all?

Do you do Halloween, or does your church have a harvest party?

Growing up, my church did harvest parties, and I, along with the other kids, would dress up in a bible character or some animal. I remember my mom, gifted and talented with a creative ability to decorate and make costumes, dressed me as Ruth one year and a ladybug another year.

Our church would have games and contests to participate in to win prizes. I won a couple of awards for the best costume.

When trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood came to our door, my parent would have apples and bible tracks to hand out to them. It is not as safe today as it was those days to hand out apples due to the concern of poison injection.

Have you seen a bible track in recent years? I haven’t seen a bible track in over two decades, as they aren’t as popular as they used to be.

My parents also raised us by telling us some different things that satanic cults would participate in on Halloween night.

An evangelist from a known ministry talks about how he and his wife would take the time to witness the trick-or-treaters that come to their home.

When my kids were growing up, we didn’t celebrate Halloween or participate in many church Harvest Parties. I think we only did a couple of them.

On Halloween day, I act like it was just another day with my kids, but knowing they have some friends who do participate in Halloween or Harvest Parties. We made a tradition. The kids got to pick out a special candy. We would pick up pizza for dinner and a movie to watch.

We lived out in the country, so we didn’t have any trick-or-treaters come to our home, but we would keep the lights out with only the views of the candles and TV and enjoy being a family with our unique tradition.

I also shared with my kids the things I grew up knowing from my parents and personal resources I did regarding the evil cult activities that take place on Halloween.

Today, my kids have grown up as young adults and live independently. I will be home at night with all my lights off, hiding in my bedroom, reading, or watching a movie. My husband is a truck driver at night and will be working.

Last year, my son’s baby kitten, Rhea, was a little over two months old, and I hid in my son’s dark bedroom, with her on the windowsill, watching the trick-or-treaters roaming in the neighborhood for a few minutes. It was amazing how many houses with lights turned off were not participating in the trick-or-treat.

Have you ever done some research on what transpires on Halloween with the satanic cults? If not, I would encourage you to do so. I would encourage you to enlighten yourself as much as you can.

Do you participate in activities that you would join with Jesus beside you?

Do you ask Jesus how He wants you to spend Halloween day? He may want you to be quiet and stay low in your home, or He may want you to evangelize.

I encourage you to do what the Holy Spirit leads you to and encourage other women to do the same.

You are loved, valued, and born for a purpose.
